Greetings!
About an hour ago we arrived in Gboko (pronounced Boko), where the Gospel Crusade is to start tomorrow. We had to pass through Makurdi, which is the state capital of
Benue
State. There the Executive Governor, Chief George Akume, waited for us. He couldn’t emphasize enough how exceedingly happy he was for our presence. I couldn’t believe my ears, but it is true: The Governor has declared Wednesday a state holiday to allow the people to attend the opening of our meetings! Wow! That is a first in CfaN’s ministry! These are almost millennial conditions.

The streets of Gboko were lined with thousands of people! |
The streets of Gboko were lined with thousands of people shouting big welcomes. All is set for a mighty move of God. Please pray that this week may remain dry. Thick rain clouds are crossing the land because it is the rainy season, but we trust the Lord for a dry spell and a super-harvest of souls. The Governor gave one of his armor-plated cars for our use, but it has no sunroof for me to pop out to respond to the people. So I just hung out through the open door to respond to the tumultuous welcome of the crowd! Yours for a lost world to be saved,
